Ok, you've seen enough fair photos. I get it, I know. But, as you might recall all you photo fans and readers out there (Mom) I mentioned being excited to see what my summer fair photos would look like 30 years from now. Would they have that vintage feel rich in contrast and moody colors? I love the look of old photos from the 60's and 70's when the film was saturated and the sunshine looked brilliant. Well, I took my trusty Holga out to the fair with me this year and shot around. I got some funny stares since my Holga looks like a toy camera made by G.I. Joe since it's Army green in color. Here I am with high-end cameras dangling from my neck and I step up to a ride and snap some shots with my fun, plastic Holga: Click! It's hit or miss with the Holga but nothing beats the excitment that builds while waiting for the film to be developed and printed. Digital stole that away from us and I miss it. As always, enjoy.
