and......I'm back!

Three words: busy busy busy. I've been neglecting this space since I've taken my new job at the Burlington Free Press. One of my best friends called me out on it tonight saying I haven't posted in weeks...it's true. I take thousands of photos each week now that I've got this full-time staffer gig, but none of them seem to make my blog. I'll try to catch up and add some of my favorites. For now, here is a fun show I shot down the street at The Monkey House in Winooski. Nick Jaina rolled through town from Portland, Oregon and sang some great bluesy, folksy stuff (thank god I'm not the music writer) so check out the photos but most importantly check out the link I posted to the Free Press website. It's my audio slideshow and it's a big thing we're doing over there. I try to put out one a day depending upon what kind of assignments I'm covering. Enjoy it! More to come!

lights out

Last night we were treated with a good ol' fashioned power outage. Our neighbor, Joe, came over with headlamps, candles, beer and Monopoly for a solid candlelit competition. I swept the board with houses and hotels using stealth tactics my Dad taught me back in the day. Sorry Joe and Tom!
